The Stretch and Cover Collection:

The core of the Stretch and Cover Slipcover collection includes small chair, medium chair, loveseat, small sofa, and medium sofa and three coordinating ottoman sizes. This enables you to pick the appropriate size for your basic furniture and coordinate various items in a room. While most competitors offer three sizes, our five sizes offer you more custom look variations, more options, and better selections.

The collection is also designed around two unique characteristics to give your furniture the tailored look most people want instead of the loose, sloppy appearance of other slipcovers that do not stay in place. First, our covers have just the right amount of stretch to provide a smooth FIT that will stay in place. Second, we offer separate cushion covers in various sizes to provide a custom look and further help keep the slipcovers in place. Our cushions are made for each cushion of the furniture rather than the more common one-size fits all oversized cushions.

And for that added touch, we also carry pillows to help you express your individual decorating style. The collection consists of both matching pillows for each fabric as well as some exclusive pillows. All our pillows offer separate covers and inserts and are priced well below comparable products.

Not only do we help you furnish your living and family rooms, we also provide dining room chair covers in quality, durable stretch fabrics. Our dining room chairs are specially styled with short and long options to provide a tight custom-made look that look just like an original chair.

Style

The Stretch and Cover collection has a number of characteristics to meet a variety of tastes and furniture styles. Our collection centers around three common lifestyles:

Stretch and Cover designs have been developed to fit most furniture styles. All Stretch and Cover fabrics are all upholstery grades and include both popular and original decorator looks. The collection is intended to coordinate with our accessories and other products to present a full decorator look. Our design and photography team works hard to provide you with livable vignettes and provides you with ideas for a sense of instant style, making it a “no- brainer” to give a total look for your space.

Our collection focuses on three different furniture styles:
1. Full arm depth
2. Set-back armrest
3. Skirt style regular arm
• Our most popular and universal style is the regular full arm depth style. It accommodates most furniture, has a casual look, and fits most arm sizes. Stretch and Cover’s patented vertical stretch provides a contour fit without compromising the shape or “integrity” of your furniture.
• Our more traditional t-cushion covers fit furniture with arms that have a set-back armrest from the sofa. We offer matching cushions with t-shapes for one, two, or no sides to fit most furniture.
• We also offer skirt style regular arm covers to provide a more formal look for your furniture.

Size

We offer five sizes of sofas, chairs and loveseats to fit most furniture.
• Our medium sofa covers fit 63 to 84 inch long sofas and our small sofa covers fit 60 to 80 inches. These measurements include the inside of the furniture and do NOT include the arm.

We recommend measuring your sofa and choosing the size that is closest to about the middle of the range. Remember there is 10-15 % stretch to fit even larger sizes. < Hint: More customers complain our covers are too big than too small, so don’t be afraid of a tighter fit. For example, we recommend a small sofa for up to about 71” and a medium sofa above that.

• Our loveseats fit 41 to 55 inch loveseats.
• Our small chair fits 19 to 25 inch long chairs and our medium chair fits 22 to 30 inch chairs. We recommend measuring your chair and choosing the size that is closest to about the middle of the range.
• All our covers fit furniture up to about 36 inches high in the back. We also allow about 20 inches for the arms in all our items.
• We do not fit most camel back, sectional or oversized furniture.

Fabric

All of Stretch and Cover’s fabrics are upholstery grade which meet strict shrinkage, colorfastness, strength and other testing requirements. This means you don’t have to worry about how your slipcovers hold up over time. You can be confident that your slipcovers can withstand the test of time and last for years to come.

Stretch and Cover’s design and quality control team uses the most popular fabrics and patterns from the upholstery market. We take our cues from the fashion and the interior design world and have working relationships with many of the most respected people in the trade.

Our fabrics are treated to resist stains and are machine washable, which means they are child, pet, and spouse friendly. You do not have to curtail your busy life or worry about entertaining in your home because you are worried about getting dirt or spills on your sofa, chair, or loveseat. While your guests show horror at spilling on your all white sofa, you can calmly say” no problem”, simply throw the covers in the washing machine, (make sure you follow the care instructions) and “voila!” the stains are gone.

When decorating your space, you may want to consider is what kind of fabric works best for your home – twills, chenille, jacquard or micro suede prints or novelties. Ask yourself what kind of texture works with the feel and sense of comfort you are looking to achieve.

• Our heavyweight washable stretch twill fabric available in seven colors (burgundy, denim, latte, swamp green, white, linen leaves, birch), is a casual fabric designed to be used in virtually any setting. It is our most popular fabric and can be used to coordinate with virtually any decorating style or color scheme. You can even match the covers with different seat cushion colors for an even more stylish and original look.
• Our washable micro suede fabric available in three colors (sand, burgundy and, chocolate), offers a durable suede type look and feel for both formal and casual settings.
• Our chenille fabric, available in three colors (off-white, latte and burgundy) offers a very soft, comfortable fabric with an eye-catching traditional design.
• We offer an elegant diamond jacquard pattern in five colors (latte, ivory, olive, burgundy, and denim). Depending on the color, it provides a contemporary look (ivory) or a traditional look (latte).
• We also offer a variety of prints and special fabrics for a more designer and special look.

Color

Our designers choose colors and patterns that can generally work with whatever you have in your home. Many are neutral or basic colors to provide you with a level of easy sophistication. You can accessorize to provide your own distinctive touch – express your personality through accessories for your own personal spin.

The strength of the Stretch and Cover line is in a variety of natural, beige, taupe, and chocolate color neutrals.

• Most of our customers go with neutrals for a relaxed, sophisticated comfort.
• However, we also include a selection of burgundies and reds. Burgundy twill and diamond jacquard were designed to provide a more contemporary look.
• We carry a denim shade in our stretch twill collection. With denim, you can create either a romantic or casual look to a room depending on the other decorating components.
• Shades of light to darker greens in our stretch twill and diamond jacquard fabrics serve a variety of decorating styles. Last but not least, all of our prints are done in multiple colors in special looks and have coordinating pillows for the other fabrics.

Think about how you like to feel in your home and what you presently have. Want a little pop in the room? Go with a dash of color with reds or blues. Want a calmer, relaxed feel? Go with neutrals. Or there’s always white for a contemporary or even beachy look.

Caring for Your Slipcover:

All of our slipcovers have stain resistant treatments and can be machine washed to remove everyday stains and dirt. All of our fabrics are continuously tested for shrinkage, strength, color fastness, color consistency and other factors to ensure that you receive quality fabrics that are easy to care for.

Most Stretch and Cover slipcovers are machine washable. Care instructions come with your purchase. You can easily remove the slipcover to throw in the machine. Wash in cold water, gentle cycle. We recommend a mild detergent like an Ivory Snow or Dreft. If it’s gentle enough for your baby, it’s gentle enough for your slipcover. We do not recommend using bleach. Depending on the fabric, either line dry or tumble dry on a low setting. After washing and drying, you can easily put the slipcover back on to your furniture. Placing the slipcover back on your furniture should take approximately five to ten minutes.
